On Wednesday, a man died after his motorcycle mishandled at kilometer 24 of Panamericana Sur, in the area Villa El Salvador.
The identity of the victim has not been established, and the prosecutor on duty is expected to arrive shortly to collect the body. National Police had to block access to two lanes of Panamericana Sur in the direction from Lurin to Limaopposite the human settlement of Heroes del Cenepa, at the height of the footbridge of San Luis.
RPP Noticias was able to find out that members of the Lurin police station had arrived at the scene, as well as members of San Borja Traffic Police to collect preliminary information about the incident and redirect the movement of vehicles.
More accidents in Pan American
There have been several accidents on the Panamericana Sur this year. In addition to the tragic death of a motorcyclist, last Saturday the injured driver was the result of a collision between a minibus and a taxi at the 9th kilometer of the aforementioned road in Surko.
The trailer did not have signal lights so that other drivers could notice the presence of the unit. The lack of signs led to the minibus crashing into the trailer.
Subsequently, the taxi driver did not have time to react and hit the minibus, which had previously collided with the trailer. The product of the double crash, driver Dennis Cardenas (28), was taken to the nearest hospital after suffering multiple injuries to his arm and leg.
