The capital continues to be the scene of traffic accidents caused by the recklessness of some drivers. This is exactly what happened today early Monday morning, when in just a few hours in the districts of the city of San Isidro And Santiago de Surco.
As a result of these situations, 4 people were seriously injured, who were treated by the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru (CGBVP).
Expressway accident
The first accident was recorded at about one in the morning. on Via Expressa, at the height of the Canaval and Moreira metro stations, in the area San Isidro.
A vehicle traveling at high speed collided with another vehicle traveling on the aforementioned road, severely damaging part of the trunk of the colliding unit. It is worth noting that this last unit was moving slowly due to a malfunction with a flashing light.
As a result of the impact, the driver of the vehicle that caused the tragedy was seriously injured and, after rendering first aid by firefighters, was urgently taken to the Javier Prado clinic.
At the end of this note, the condition in which the driver was found was unknown. In addition to the above, there were no other injuries that required specialized medical care.
Van crashed into footbridge
On the other hand, the second accident occurred on the footbridge of the Pedagogical Location of Panamericana Sur in the Santiago de Surco.
A van carrying sound equipment collided with retaining bars separating the path from the sidewalk and protecting the approach to the said bridge.
According to local Serenazgo agents, the car with license plate C2E 905 lost control as it was traveling at high speed and collided with the aforementioned bars. As a result, the car overturned on the road.
The three people who occupied the block were taken by firefighters and transferred to the San Pablo Clinic due to the condition of their injuries. In addition, it became known that the relevant investigations will be conducted by the local police department.
