Ipsos Peru: 76% of Peruvians think it would be better for the country if Dina Boluarte resigns and calls for a general election

70% of Peruvians indicate they should be held general election in 2023 Considering the current political situation in the country, a national survey by Ipsos Peru revealed America TV.

Research broadcast by the Sunday program fourth power shows that 22% believe that elections should be held in April 2024, and only 7% are in favor of holding them in 2026.

On the other hand, 76% believe it would be better for the country if President Dina Boluarte resigns and elections are called; 20% will remain in the presidency, while 4% do not specify.

When asked about the leadership of the head of state, 74% of Peruvians reject her work and only 18% support it. 8% is not needed.

To the question “if Dina Boluarte leaves the presidency, who should be the incoming congressman?”, 57% answered that the head of Congress, Joseph Williams, should not hold the post of head of state, and another parliamentarian elected by the plenary, meanwhile 25% say that she should be replaced by Williams Zapata. Finally, 18% do not indicate.

The Ipsos Peru National Urban and Rural Survey was conducted from 9 to 10 February among 1,210 people. The study has a margin of error of +/- 2.8% with a 95% confidence level.
