The French company will finally make it possible to store button batteries in the cabinet. Iten has developed a new type of battery, powerful and ecological, designed for very small electronic equipment. They are so small they can slip into a bank card chip. It’s exactly the type of so-called deep technology, those companies that take at least a decade to develop, but whose products can literally change the world.
The industrial start-up has just closed a new funding round of €80 million with Bpifrance as part of the France 2030 program and with Groupe SEB. They are backed by the company’s historic investors, Eren Groupe, Habert Dassault Finances* and Innovacom. This capital transaction is complemented by a debt of 60 million euros during the contract signing process. Iten has a 100% French stake to anchor the technology in the French industrial fabric.
