An international research team of archaeologists in the small town of Vrable in southern Slovakia has discovered a grave of people who died around 5250-4950 BC. This was reported by the Academy of Sciences of Slovakia.
So at the bottom of the trench, experts found a cluster of human bones belonging to at least 35 people. Almost all are headless. Only a child’s skull was found.
Archaeologists noticed that they had found a burial in the community. However, this year they excavated a trench containing a large accumulation of human bones. The bodies initially lie in various positions – on the back, on the stomach, on the side, and so on.
Now researchers want to know how all these people ended up in a common grave, if they were killed people, victims of epidemics, or they were sacrificed as part of a ritual. Also, experts aim to find out how these people are genetically related, as well as find out when their skulls disappeared.
