SpaceX fired all six Raptor engines of the prototype Starship spacecraft in preparation for its orbital flight.

The American company SpaceX Elon Musk tested the engines of the Starship and burned the grass in the space base. Space.com reported this on Friday, September 9th.

It is indicated that the test was conducted the previous day at the Starbase base in Boca Chica, Texas. The company fired up all six Raptor engines of the prototype Starship spacecraft in preparation for its orbital flight in the coming months.

The static fire test lasted only a few seconds, but it burned the grass around the launch pad. The local fire department was called to extinguish the fire.

As you know, Starship is SpaceX’s next-generation transportation system for deep space exploration – the Moon, Mars and other celestial bodies. It consists of a Super Heavy booster and a Starship spacecraft.

It will be remembered that in July, SpaceX successfully tested the booster for the Starship rocket – Booster 7, a month after the previous attempt ended in an explosion.
