China first sent a reusable test spacecraft in September 2020.
For the second time in two years, China launched a secret reusable spacecraft into Earth orbit on August 4. The launch was carried out from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome. Space reported it.
According to Xinhua, the test spacecraft will remain in orbit for a certain period of time before returning to China, where it will test reusable technology and in-orbit maintenance as planned to provide technical support for peaceful use of space.
Although not much is known about this reusable experimental spacecraft, experts speculate that the mysterious vehicle is likely an unmanned spacecraft, possibly about the size of the US Space Force’s X-37B, based on the large capacity of Long March 2F rocket payload. .
By comparison, the X-37B spaceplane has been in Earth orbit for more than 800 days, and its latest mystery mission is the program’s sixth.
It was previously reported that China has successfully launched three new satellites into space, one of which will monitor carbon in terrestrial ecosystems.
