Humanoid robots played a friendly match with 5: 3, showing China’s accomplishments in the field of artificial intelligence and autonomy of machines.
An unusual football match took place in the Industrial Beijing zone: Robots -like human playing on the farm, reported Bloomberg. The match ended with a 5: 3 mark, and although the game of robots was relatively slow and clumsy, the main goal was out of sight, but with a display of technology.
The match was performed in the format of three against three. Robots are equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms that control their actions without the participation of people. They identified the ball at a distance of 18 meters with a precision of 90%, identified doors, field lines, rivals and made decisions – from bleeding programs – based on collected data. This has been possible thanks to cameras, sensors and use of deep training with reinforcement, allowing systems to study in a large number of simulations.

The game was attended by teams from the leading University of Chinese – Qinghua and Beijing University of Information Technologies. The success won a team from Qinghua.
A true football match has become a world’s harbinger Humanoid Robots Games, which China plans to hold on August 15-17, 2025 in Beijing. The program includes 11 sports, including gymnastics, athletics and football.
“Such demonstrations have been called to regain people’s imagination,” said Semir Menon, founder of the American Company Dextereity. According to him, there are thousands of types of robots and millions of applications ahead -and each such event is closer to the future.
We remind, earlier it was reported that the Chinese robot had learned to make a somersault.
