Being new is better than those preceding technical specifications, but in return it develops answers that are slower and without access to certain operations.
Openai has launched a new chatgpt O3-pro artificial intelligence model, called by the company the most capable of today, the TechCrunch reports. This is an advanced version of the O3 model, focusing on logical thinking, which can improve productivity in physics, math, programming and analytics.
In API, the model cost is $ 20 per million input tokens and $ 80 per million weekends. One million input tokens is approximately equal to 750 thousand words.
In the internal trial of Openai, experts prefer the O3-PRO compared to previous models, especially in areas as science, education, business, programming and assistance in writing texts. Higher clarity, completeness, accuracy and ability to follow instructions are also mentioned.
The model supports many tools: looking on the Internet, file review, image processing, working with python code, personalizing answers using memory and more. The disadvantage is that O3-pro answers are slower than the O1-pro.
However, the test results are amazing. According to Openai’s internal data, Aime 2024 (assessment of mathematical skills) showed O3-PRO the best results than Gemini 2.5 Pro from Google, and in the GPQA diamond test, which tests the level of philosophy, it also revoked Claude 4 Opus from Anthropic.
Currently, temporary chats in a chatgpt model are disabled due to a technical problem. The O3-Pro also doesn’t know how to create images and not support canvas function-a working space with support for AI from Openai.
The model is already available for ChatGPT PRO and team users, replacing the previous version of O1-Pro. Enterprise and Edu plans will get access next week. Also, the O3-pro can be used by API for developers.
Earlier, Openai refused to become a commercial structure.
