Microsoft introduces artificial intelligence called Aurora, with the ability to predict natural disasters with high accuracy. He also became the first system of the world based on a machine study, which exceeded the National Center for US Hurricanes the exact 5-day forecast of tropical storms.
Aurora is a large -scale neural network, trained in more than one million hours of data from satellites, radar, weather stations and climatic simulation. According to the developers, this is the largest set of atmospheric data used to teach AI models in the field of meteorology. Aurora’s uniqueness lies in the absence of strictly set policies for the interaction of climatic variables. Instead, a deep neural network independently shows the main dependencies, which ensures its intense accuracy.

Microsoft opened the source code and weight of the model for the scientific community, which should accelerate the development of atmospheric forecasting technological forecasts. Aurora is available through the Azure AI Foundry Labs Cloud platform and integrated during the MSN, providing more accurate weather forecasts with permitted details.
