Now Skype stops working forever

The popular messenger, who has worked for 22 years, closes. Users are invited to move to Microsoft teams.

From Monday, May 5, the Skype application officially restricts its work, and accounts along with user chat stories will be transferred to the Microsoft Teams service.

According to Microsoft, Skype data is available to users until January 2026. They can be exported, with chat stories. If this is not done until January next year, service data will be deleted.

Skype was launched in 2003, in 2011 it was obtained by Microsoft Corporation. In 2015, there was an attempt to include Skype in Windows 10.

In 2017, Microsoft Corporation launched teams – a cooperation platform developed based on Skype.
