In the UK, a fragment of a letter of the XVII century was that -Deciphered, which could deny the idea of the incredible marriage of William Shakespeare with Anne Hathaway.
An unexpected discovery in the UK is pouring a new light on William Shakespeare’s personal life. The Guardian reported it.
The Khereford Cathedral library found a fragment of a letter of the -17th -century, which could change the established wedding idea of a brilliant playmate with Anne Hathaway.
Although the fragment itself was discovered in 1978, recently a professor at the University of Bristol, Matthew Steggl, managed to fully determine it. The scientist believes the letter is addressed to Anne Shakespeare – the playwright’s wife. In the document he was asked to return the money his wife had hidden for an orphan at his mother’s request. The letter also mentioned a new couple-trinity-lane address in London.
The disclosure of this fact is a surprise, as for a long time it is believed that Anne Hathaway spent her whole life in a countryside near Stratford-on-Evonon. The letter suggests that he can live a big time to live in London with his wife, who throws financially together.
The set of the letter addresses Ms. Shakespeare as a man with access to funds and influence on his wife, but he asked not to intervene in their personal file – it also indicates his freedom and active position in relationships.
The letter was preserved in the bonding of the book of Bible texts in the Johann Piscator (1608), published by typographer Richard Field – Shakespeare’s neighbor from Stratford and the first publisher of his works.
