Chen Dong first flew to the station in 2016 and led the Shenzhou-14 mission in 2022.

The mission became the ninth journey to Manned Tiangun and the fifth in the framework of the phase of its entire operation. The orbital station rotates to a height of 340-450 km above the ground.
The mission will last for six months.
