The opening was not publicly reported within a few hours, so that the park managed to prepare and limit access to the facility’s visitors.
In Brazil, they found rock drawings nearly 3,000 years in Itatia National Park, located at the border of the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas-Jehirace, reports Armeonews.
Drawings are found accidentally. Andres Conkista, the caretaker of the upper part of Park Itatia, stumbled into the cave during the climb -it was attracted by a bright red lily to grow nearby. When he came to photograph them, he was interested in a strange cliff nearby – he looked inside and saw the drawings. At first I thought it was graffiti, but quickly realized that it was something more ancient.
Although the caves were discovered in 2023, the found was not publicly reported so that the park was managed to prepare and limit the access of visitors to the facility. One of the first steps is the message of the Institute of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage of Brazil, which is now monitoring the protection of the object. Also, surveillance cameras were installed in the park and conducted an information campaign with staff to maintain the monument.
Scientists believe that these drawings may be among hunting communities living here 2,000-3,000 years ago. Currently, studies are ongoing, but the main emphasis is on maintaining something from vandalism and unauthorized excavation.
We remind you, earlier reported that the remains of children were found in the May Temple.
