On the night of April 13, the Ukrainians will see micoloon – the whole moon, which looks smaller and dull due to the maximum distance from the ground.
On Sunday night, April 13, residents of Ukraine can observe an interesting phenomenon in astronomy – Micoloon.
It is a complete month, which is at the largest distance from the ground to its orbit, so it looks smaller and less bright than ever.
As the Publication of Associated Press explains, unlike superlood, when the moon is closest to the ground and looks especially large, Micoloon is less amazing at first glance. The difference in the amount of bare eyes is difficult to notice, however, for the true connoisseurs of the Starry Sky, this is a rare chance.
“It’s a very subtle difference, and it’s not easy to notice it,” Alena Brizar said from Saint -Maikle College (USA).
To better see the micolonal, you need to choose a place with an open reach and a little light pollution. It’s best – out of the city or at least dark places.
By the way, such wonders occur several times a year. The next Micolona is expected to be in May, and in the fall, three superlines await us in the following – in October, November and December.
The moon will be a mini! 🌕
April 12 carries a micromoon, when the whole moon is at the farthest point from Earth. It looks like a 14% smaller and a 30% dimmer a supermoon. WHO? This is the farthest it gets from Earth to Orbit. pic.twitter.com/tzuoifm1vr
