Weekend training is as benefit -benefit as regular – research

To maintain health status, 150 minutes of moderate or intensive physical activity per week is sufficient, regardless of the distribution of activity on Sunday.

The Chinese scientist team reviewed the old British study data year ago to determine how the frequency and distribution of physical health activity affects, the newscientist reports.

The old study was taken as the basis of old, conducted in the UK from 2013 to 2015 to 93 thousand people aged 37 to 73 years. 8 years after the old study, nearly 4 thousand participants died. The Chinese group found that in people who performed at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week, but distributed it within a day or two, the risk of death from all causes was 32% less than those who did not reach this level of physical training. The risk of death from cardiovascular diseases is 31% lower, and from cancer – of 21%. At the same time, for people who distribute their activity for a week, the risk of death from all causes, cardiovascular and cancer diseases are 26%, 24% and 13% lower, respectively, than in less active people.

According to the data, exercise training may seem better than distributing physical activity, but the difference is not large enough to call this statistically significant.

In studies, a scale is compared by 150 minutes of moderate physical activity each week, as this is the standard recommended by the World Health Organization. For more intensive activity, the standard is less – 75 minutes of classes similar to terms of intensity by running or swimming.
