Researchers have developed a new form of friendly environment to process plastic with air humidity.
Scientists have suggested an environmental procedure for dedicating pet plastic, which is widely used in making bottles and packages. It was written by Intersting Engineering.
The new procedure is based on a catalyst from the molybdenum and activated coal, which helps to divide polymer bonds. The main feature of the procedure is to use air moisture to convert fragmented plastic to unique monomers, which can be used in the industry.
“The use of air humidity gives us to leave volumetric solvents, reduce energy consumption and prevent the use of aggressive chemicals, making the process cleaner and more friendly,” explained Navin Malik, the leader with a study.
Research Results:
-
The pet becomes Tereftal Acid, which is the main block of plastic building.
-
Only by the -product is acetaldehyde that can be used in the industry.
-
The absence of toxic chemicals and minimal energy consumption makes this procedure cleaner than the traditional plastic processing method.
Pet plastic is hardly rotting in nature, forming micro- and nanoplastics, which are flowing water and harmful to ecosystems. The new method can be a success in combating plastic pollution and changing the waste processing strategy.
Earlier it was reported that scholars from the University of Boyce Aidaho to the United States have developed a new type of plastic.
