A disabled woman organized a scheme to enter into fictitious marriages with men to avoid their mobilization to travel abroad. The Kharkov Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on September 2.
It was noted that the 29-year-old defendant was declared suspected of organizing and assisting in the illegal transportation of people across the state border of Ukraine by giving advice, instructions and removing obstacles created for selfish reasons.
According to the investigation, a resident of the village of Andrushevka, Vinnytsia region, with the second group of disabilities, posted ads in a group on the social network Facebook with the aim of ending fake marriages among men to prevent their mobilization and subsequent travel abroad. The suspect independently came from the Vinnytsia region to “clients” to register the “marriage” in their place of residence. For such “service,” the defendant announced to the draft dodgers the sum of $5,000.
