A rocket with a mini-satellite was launched to the moon

The American company Rocket Lab has launched an Electron launch vehicle with NASA’s CAPSTONE mini-satellite on the moon. This was reported by Space.com.

The launch of an 18-meter rocket with a 25-kilogram satellite took place on June 28 at 12.55 Kyiv time. The rocket was launched from a spaceport on the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand.

CAPSTONE is testing the stability of NASA’s orbit plan to use for Gateway’s future space station.

The NASA spacecraft is scheduled to enter lunar orbit on November 13th.
