The height of this mountain is 2,786 meters, so it should be one of the highest volcanoes in Canada.
Million-year-old coffee and cocoa can be seen in this image from space. This area in northwestern Canada is called the Snowshoe Lava Field and is known for attractions such as Coffee and Cocoa – local craters that are part of the Mount Edziza volcanic complex in British Columbia, writes Scitech Daily.
A spectacular image of this area was taken by OLI-2 (Operational Land Imager-2) of the Landsat 9 satellite: the frame shows the Edziza stratovolcano with an ice-filled caldera at the top, which was formed approx. a million years ago. The height of this mountain is 2,786 meters, so it should be one of the highest volcanoes in Canada.
The Snow Shoe lava field extends south and southwest of Ice Peak and is one of the youngest features of the Edziza Volcanic Complex. Scientists believe that the lava field was formed by intense volcanic cycles over the past 20,000 years.
We remind you that NASA previously presented a space trailer for 2024.
