In total, since the beginning of 2023, 33 thousand electric cars have passed their first registration in Ukraine.
The demand for electric vehicles is growing in Ukraine. In November 2023 alone, Ukrainians bought 4.3 thousand electric cars, which is almost three times more than a year ago. The Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) reported this on Monday, December 11, in Telegram.
“Last month, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was filled with 4,316 battery-powered vehicles (BEVs). Compared to November last year, the demand for electric vehicles almost tripled. However, compared to October 2023 , the market dropped by 4%,” the report said..
It found that the majority of electric vehicles registered in November were passenger cars – 4,239 units. (new – 827 pcs., used – 3412 pcs.). Of the 77 commercial electric vehicles, only 10 are new.
The top five new electric cars in November included Volkswagen, Toyota, BYD Song, Honda, and Volkswagen.
Among used cars, Ukrainian consumers preferred Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3, Volkswagen e-Golf, Tesla Model Y and Audi E-Tron.
It should be noted that in 2022, Ukrainians bought 13.6 thousand zero-emission cars, which is 1.5 times higher than in 2021.
We remind you that since the beginning of the year, the demand for new cars in Ukraine has increased by 60%, and for used cars – by 40%.
