Iran announced on Wednesday, December 6, the successful launch of its latest bioscience space capsule using a Salman launch vehicle. Tasnim Report.
A new biocapsule weighing 500 kg was launched at an altitude of 130 km. The capsule was developed as part of the “road map” for sending humans into space. The project is implemented by the Aerospace Industries Organization, which is under the jurisdiction of the Iranian Ministry of Defense.
Before launch, the capsule was tested for range of motion, recovery, speed control, shock mitigation system, aerodynamics, parachute mechanisms and environmental control and monitoring systems.

The launch comes as Iran seeks to revive the country’s space development efforts and enhance its expertise in space bioscience.
