American company SpaceX’s Falcon-9 launch vehicle launched the Hayasat-1 satellite into space orbit.
For the first time, Armenia received a satellite of its own production, Hayasat-1, in space orbit. Radio Azatutyun reported this yesterday.
The satellite was developed by the Armenian research center Bazoomq and the Center for Scientific Innovation and Education. In September he received a license from the relevant ministry.
The launch took place on December 1 in the USA, at 22:18 Armenian time, using a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket.
At the same time, Armenia’s first own satellite, ArmSat-1, was launched into space in May 2022, also with the help of SpaceX. This device is the result of a collaboration between the Armenian Geocosmost agency and the Spanish company Santlantis. ArmSat-1 is planned to operate for four years.
Let’s recall that this week China for the first time showed clear images of its Tiangong space station, which flies in low Earth orbit at a height of 340 to 450 km above the surface of our planet.
