‘BTS World’ game will be discontinued in December

This Tuesday, the 5th, Netmarble, the company responsible for the game “BTS World”, issued a statement through the game’s official forum announcing that the title will be discontinued in December, where, after this period, it will no longer be downloadable from the Play Store or App Store.

“Hello, this is BTS WORLD MANAGER.

Thank you for your love and support for BTS WORLD.

This announcement is to inform you that BTS WORLD will discontinue its service starting Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

We truly appreciate your love and support for BTS WORLD and will do our best to minimize your inconvenience until the end of the service day.

■ Service Termination Schedule

1. Service termination date: Tuesday, December 26, 2023, 11:00 am
2. Game download date and in-app purchase/ad blocking: Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 11:00 am KST

※ Please be aware that once the app is deleted, it cannot be downloaded again if the download is blocked.

※ You can play on devices that already have it installed until the service end date.

※ An error pop-up will occur when trying to access Purchase/Ad after blocking.
3. Official forum closing date: Friday, March 29, 2024, 11:00 am

※ You will not be able to use the official forum after closure.

Make sure you personally save essential data before the closing date.

■ Notice about Facebook account linking/login issue.

– Schedule: After blocking game download (after Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 11:00 AM KST)
– Detail: Facebook account link/login will be denied
– Method to resolve: If it is currently linked to ‘Facebook only’, linking it to another SNS account.
– Method for linking account: In-game option → Account → Additional linking with Google Play / email account

※ If it is difficult to access the game to receive a refund due to the effect of the above issue, please contact the 1:1 customer service center for quick and accurate assistance.

It is worth remembering that the final chapter of the game was released in June 2022 and, since then, the game has not received any new updates. However, as a way of reciprocating the fans’ affection, Netmarble decided to make the challenges a little easier, so that more people could complete the experience and have access to the content available.

With the announcement of the game’s withdrawal from platforms, many ARMYs began asking the company to make available the exclusive content recorded by BTS members for the title, since, to this day, many users have still not been able to finish the game. So far, Netmarble has not yet announced whether the content will be made available.
