About nine minutes later the spacecraft was launched into orbit. Its flight to the ISS will be followed by a two-orbit rendezvous scheme. Soyuz MS-24 is expected to dock with the Rassvet module of the Russian segment of the station at approximately 21:57 Kyiv time.
The new members of the ISS crew will be the commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps Oleg Kononenko, cosmonaut Nikolai Chub and NASA astronaut Laurel O’Hara.
In addition to the crew, Soyuz MS-24 will deliver approximately 120 kg of cargo to the station, including photo and video equipment, on-board documentation, food, personal items, and equipment for scientific experiments.
We remind you that on August 1, there was a failure of the power supply system in the American segment of the ISS. Something caused a power surge, which led to failure.
