An asteroid, the size of 10 medium buses put together, that is, 160 meters wide, is approaching the Earth at a speed of 41,500 km / h. This is almost 34 times the speed of sound, writes the Daily Mail.
The space body is called 2013 WV44. It is among the space rocks that are potentially dangerous for our planet and will approach the distance close to Earth by space standards.
“This asteroid, discovered 10 years ago, has an approximate diameter of 160 meters, and the speed of its movement towards the Earth is 41.5 thousand km / h. At 11 am Kyiv time, on Wednesday, June 28, this asteroid will come close. Earth at a distance of 3.3 million km. Although it is 9 times farther than the located Moon, this distance is still considered dangerous, “said the scientists.
