The artificial intelligence talked to patrons about the past, overcoming the fear of death, and issues of keeping the faith.
In Germany, for the first time, artificial intelligence was used as a preacher in the temple. This was reported by Ars Technica.
More than 300 parishioners came to Protestant St. Paul’s Church in Fürth and listened to a 40-minute sermon compiled by the chatbot ChatGPT.
Sermons were read by female and male avatars. This happened within the framework of a convention called the Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag, organized by the theologian and philosopher from the University of Vienna, Jonas Simmerlein.
According to him, 98% of the sermon is written by artificial intelligence, and 2% is its edits.
Recall that in February, a chat bot with artificial intelligence ChatGPT became available in Ukraine.
