The launch took place from the launch complex of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida at 20:26 US East Coast time (3:26 Kyiv time).

This is the first of three ViaSat Inc. satellites. a new generation that will provide global coverage in Ka-band and provide high-speed Internet in North and South America.

The second ViaSat satellite will cover Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the third – the Asia-Pacific region.
