SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket launched the ViaSat-3 Americas satellite weighing 6.7 tons into orbit. Launch video released SpaceX.
The launch took place from the launch complex of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida at 20:26 US East Coast time (3:26 Kyiv time).
This is the first of three ViaSat Inc. satellites. a new generation that will provide global coverage in Ka-band and provide high-speed Internet in North and South America.
The second ViaSat satellite will cover Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the third – the Asia-Pacific region.
