Microsoft has added its chatbot Bing Chat AI to the popular keyboard SwiftKey for android. The integration began rolling out on Wednesday and allows SwiftKey beta users to quickly access the Microsoft Bing chatbot with the click of a button in any app. integration Bing Chat on SwiftKey includes a normal chat mode that offers access to a chatbot, or a tone mode that will retype any text right on your keyboard. If you’ve only used the Bing mobile app to access your chatbot, this new integration already makes the app ubiquitous.
SwiftKey is a predictive keyboard for mobile devices that uses artificial intelligence to learn and predict the user’s typing. It uses machine learning techniques to analyze user input patterns and predict what will be typed next, which increases the speed and efficiency of typing. SwiftKey also allows you to customize the look and feel and offers a wide range of languages.
To access this new Bing Chat integration, you must download SwiftKey beta on the Google Play Store. Pedram Rezai, Microsoft’s chief technology officer for mobile and commerce, confirmed on Twitter that the feature is “slowly rolling out”, but there’s no word yet on when SwiftKey iOS users will be able to try it out.
Microsoft ended support for SwiftKey on iOS last year before quickly returning to the App Store. At the time, Rezai said that Microsoft would be “significantly investing in the keyboard” as the company prepared for the public release of the AI-powered version of Bing.
While the iOS version of SwiftKey hasn’t been updated regularly, Microsoft AI will likely see this Bing integration appear on the keyboard side of the iPhone soon. Microsoft may also be responding to competition from various artificial intelligence keyboards on iOS that include ChatGPT integration. Paragraph AI includes an interface that lets you generate text everywhere and is already gaining popularity on iOS.
