Much is still unknown about C/2023 A3, including its size. Without more data, astronomers still debate the comet’s viability.
A comet will fly over the Earth, which was last seen when mankind left Africa and settled around the world. This is reported by Live science.
In particular, a celestial body called C / 2023 A3 was recently discovered by several observers in different parts of the world – astronomers from South Africa and from China.
The comet is currently between Saturn and Jupiter, moving at 290,664 km/h and will likely make its closest approach to Earth on October 13, 2024. Astronomers estimate that the comet orbits the Sun in 80,660 years.
It will approach our planet on September 28, 2024. However, during its approach to the Sun, the comet may break up, as these celestial bodies are loosely bound balls of ice, rock and dust. However, if this does not happen, then in June 2024 the object will be visible to the eye.
It was previously reported that astrophotographer Josh Duri captured the comet at the famous archaeological site of Stonehenge in Great Britain.
