The microphone has one advantage: it does not sound as bad as I expected. We have to clear something up: this feature is an add-on, but it was never the main character. If we want to participate in remote work or want to stream our games live, we need an additional microphone; The one with the webcam is always a last resort. And if we must use it, the sound it gives is clear to anyone who hears us. Be warned, it even adds an automatic noise reduction feature to avoid outside noises.

Should I buy VSG Helix?

This webcam is not spectacular, but it fully performs all its functions.

It works with matching color gamut, a good viewing angle, a microphone that will get you out of trouble and a unique privacy tool that, together with the good material it’s made of, makes it an alternative for the tightest of pockets.

As one of the cheapest webcams on the market, it’s a good starting point, not so much for remote work or distance learning (because there are cheaper alternatives without that detail), but for streaming and recording entertainment videos.
