Who can use Starlink in Ukraine
In response to the Russian invasion and the request of the Ministry of Digital Development, Elon Musk gave the residents of Ukraine access to Starlink satellite Internet.
After a while, the State Service for Special Communications decided to allow all Ukrainians to use the terminal for the period of martial law.
What does the system consist of?
The system consists of three parts: satellites, a network of ground stations and terminals. It is located in low Earth orbit at an altitude of 540-550 km with an inclination of 53 degrees, reducing signal delay to the end user.
To use, a terminal is required. He independently adjusts the receiving antenna, reminiscent of a television satellite dish, to an available satellite, after which a connection to the Internet is established.
How to connect
Terminals are delivered to Ukraine with installation and configuration instructions:

It is necessary to connect the antenna to the Ethernet adapter using the cable included in the kit (if there is no Ethernet adapter, then directly to the terminal). And connect the adapter to the terminal.

Install the Starlink application on your smartphone or tablet from Google Play or the AppStore.

Connect to the Starlink terminal’s Wi-Fi network.
As for speed, for Starlink Basic users – 50-250 Mbps, for Starlink Premium users – 150-500 Mbps.

You can order equipment on the official website starlink.com in countries where the company already has a representative office. In Ukraine, this is not possible now, however, Starlink Ukraine was registered in June of last year, but did not start working.
The cost of a standard set of equipment is $599. At the same time, it will be necessary to pay monthly from $110. For business users, a set of equipment costs $2,500.
