Elon Musk retracted his controversial removal API (application programming interface) without Twitter and it will allow some third parties who want to create “good content” to use it.
As such, the tycoon announced that he would launch a free version of this service, but would also continue to consolidate the paid version to $100/month to avoid “scams and manipulation.”
Contradiction
WITH API social network, some developers could create service bots on the platform that worked in simple ways, such as simply tagging them in a post where they were needed.
In response to comments, Twitter will allow API a lite write-only version for bots that provides good content for free,” Musk said in his personal account.
This free version will only be available to users with blue verification, which currently costs $8.
However, the paid version of this tool will also be released on February 9th.
Elon Musk, defending this position, noted that “fraudster bots and public opinion manipulators are seriously abusing the free API today.” With the pay, he hopes to “make a lot of tidying up.”
everything is paid
Increasingly for Twitter start monetizing instruments that even before the arrival Elon Musk they were free.
With this measure, the billionaire is trying to pay off his large debts on a platform that is about to go bankrupt. Similarly, he returns his $44 billion investment he put into buying the social network.
