“Unfortunately, the MRI today (Thursday) shows us that the evolution is not as favorable as we imagined and we have unfortunately decided to announce Sadio’s withdrawal from the World Cup.“said election doctor Manuel Afonso, quoted by Senegal’s Twitter account.
The doctor explained that in order to operate on the player, “a surgical intervention should be scheduled very soon”. Everything was done to heal the Lions’ No.10 after the injury he suffered against Bayern Munich on November 8 in contact with Werder defender Amos Pieper in the 6-1 win over Bremen.
