Cocktail case: Court rejects money laundering appeal

The Fourth National Preparatory Court of Inquiry rejected this Monday, November 14, request dismissalrepresented by Pierre Figari, Vicente Silva Checa, Ana Herz, Jaime Yoshiyama Tanaka and Augusto Bedoya Camere, who sought to archive the accusation of money laundering as part of the investigation of the Kokteles case.

In this case, prosecutor José Domingo Pérez of Special Team Lava Jato, demanded 30 years in prison for former presidential candidate and Fuerza Popular leader Keiko Fujimori and the aforementioned defendants. This is in the context of an investigation into the campaign contributions of Fujimori’s party during the 2011 and 2016 electoral processes.

Perez accused those involved in the alleged crimes of organized crime, money laundering, obstruction of justice and making a false statement in an administrative proceeding.

Similarly, the magistrate denied similar requests by José Chlimper, Adriana Tarazona, Augusto Bedoya, Antonieta Gutiérrez, Luis Jaime Lecchi, as well as the legal entities of MVV Real Estate and the Fuerza People’s Political Party.
