TALAHASEY, Florida (AP) – Florida Governor Ron Desantis signed a bill Friday to dismantle the private government of Walt Disney World after an entertainment giant slammed new critics of the state law as “Don’t say gay “.

The controversy at the company began with criticism of a new Disney law banning sexual orientation and gender identity education in kindergarten through third grade, as well as education that is not “age -appropriate”.
In March, Disney said it would suspend political donations to the state, adding that it would in turn support organizations working against the new law. So Desantis and his fellow Republicans criticized Disney and defended the law as justified.
At the bill’s signing ceremony Friday, DeSantis said Disney lied about the content of the education law, but the company’s commitment to fight the law was unacceptable.
“You are a company based in Burbank, California and you intend to use your economic strength to attack my state’s parents. “We see it as a provocation and we will fight it,” he said.
