In Washington on Wednesday, police found five fetuses in the home of an anti-abortion activist.
Activist Lauren Handy was sitting outside the house when officers pulled out a cooler containing fruit. WUSA9 reported for the first time. Handy refused to tell a reporter outside the house what was in the refrigerators, but said: “People get angry when they find out.”
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to HuffPost on Thursday that it found five fruits after they were sent to investigate the fall.
“Following further investigation, the MPD found five fetuses in a dwelling,” a police statement said. The fruits were collected by the DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. This is an ongoing investigation. “
