Proud Boys’ Jan. 6 Sedition Hearings Begin with Implications For Trump –

A five -member Proud Boys Street gang will face federal court on Thursday for the first hearing in a potentially historic case in which a group of Americans have been accused of plotting to overthrow the U.S. government.

The conspiracy of the arrogant men involved many of their leaders – Enrique Tario, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rail, Ethan Nordean, and Dominique Petzola – who prosecutors said played a key role in planning and carrying out the uprising. of the U.S. Capitol in January. 6, 2021.

Prosecutors say the men led dozens of arrogant men and thousands of Donald Trump supporters as they rallied in Washington that day for a violent attempt to reclaim legitimate election victory last year. 2020 by Joe Biden.

Each defendant faces federal charges, from destruction of property to civil disobedience. But conspiracy theories earlier this week added a new dimension to the case.

Such accusations are rarely made, especially prosecution. A recent successful conspiracy of rebels was launched against a group of Islamist militants who planned to bomb the UN in the 1990s. The decision to make these accusations against arrogant children today – and, in September, against some members of their allies in the anti -militant and anti -government group – has a symbolic color to it, suggesting blame of the federal government most of it. Rebellion.

The proud boys have a tough fight to defend themselves: Prosecutors have already released plenty of evidence that the gang planned to fix Trump’s final stance a few weeks before Jan. 6.

Nordean launched an online fundraiser for “protective gear and equipment” and posted a video telling his followers that the events of January 6 “will return to the original spirit of 1776, really shaping the character of America . ” Biggs declared a “second civil war” in a blog post. Tario, chairman of the group, is expected to review a planning document titled “1776 Returns” on Dec. 30, 2020. Plans to occupy several buildings in Washington in detail the Big Day, including some Chamber office buildings and Senate.

But the consequences of this case go beyond the decades of incarceration that every arrogant young leader faces.

On the one hand, the hearing should offer a first honest look at how the federal government views the street gang involved in a national campaign of political violence over the past five years. Federal agencies across the board have been criticized for their inadequate responses for arrogant children involved in many notable acts of political violence in the country since Trump’s inauguration, ending their alleged ‘ y large role in the uprising.

More interestingly, the case offers the opportunity to see arrogant men testify against each other. Several members have already reached a plea bargain on the cases on Jan. 6, forcing them to take sides. One of them was Charles Donohe, its leader in North Carolina, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy theories in April and admitted there was a plan to attack the Capitol on Jan. 6. And he agreed to cooperate fully with the federations.

It’s not clear what this testimony will reveal, but it could give us a clearer picture of what Trump and the company were doing before and during the Capitol attack. Members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are close to Trump and his allies, particularly Roger Stone, Trump’s political trustee and friend. Jurors served in Stone’s defense on Jan. 5 and the morning of Jan. 6, while Tario and the Ombudsman, Stuart Rhodes, were members of Stone’s group chat over the phone. “Friends of the rock”.

Stone has been the closest ally of the former president’s proud children for many years, and their relationship has given the gang political influence that no other extremist group in America has.

Whatever the case of the proud boys, they will simultaneously accept the revelations made by a chamber committee charged with investigating the events on Jan. 6. These hearings are also expected to begin on Thursday.
