“The Disappearance of Clifton Hill” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the streaming service’s public rating system.
The premiere of this Canadian thriller first took place at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival called “Clifton Hill” and was eventually released in digital and limited theaters in February 2020. The film tells the story of a determined young woman to explore the passion he witnessed as a child. .
The second most popular film so far is the 1986 classic “Top Gun”. Following the release of the long -awaited sequel “Top Gun: Maverick” on May 27, people are clearly returning to the original naval aviation drama.
Other older films on the chart include Tim Burton’s 2005 adaptation of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and 2018 drama “Ben is Back.” The latter was played by Julia Roberts, Lucas Hedges and Courtney B. Vance and the father of Hedges screenwriter and director, Peter Hedges.
For the latest releases, the 2022 Indian epic “RRR” (English version of the title “Rise Roar Revolt”) is also popular on the streaming service. Set in 1920, the film tells the story of two Indian revolutionaries fighting the British Raj.
