A group of teachers from the National University of Music (UHM) presenting their Board of Directors, he wrote a letter to the teacher Jorge Rivera in which they demand his resignation “ipso facto” from the post of chairman of the organizing committee of said faculty.

As is known, Rivera Munoza specialist in biology and chemistry, was appointed to this position by the Minister of Education Oscar Becerra on April 12, replacing Lydia Hungwong, executive director of the Peruvian Music Council and renowned international pianist.

The letter also states that Rivera Munoz, after being appointed to this position, he would come up with a “team of advisers” who also had no musical training experience.

In view of the above, the teachers asked Jorge Rivera submit his resignation to the Ministry of Education “for not having received the approval of the community of the National Music University in the shortest possible time, so that the academic, working and artistic life of our center will return to normal.”
