Second Specialized Prosecutor for Corruption Crimes of Lima ordered to bring a number of preliminary cases against the former CEO of the National Office of Public Registries (Sunarp) Tommy Deza Sandoval and your partner Karen Uribe Rodriguezfor the alleged crimes of incompatible negotiation and influence peddling.
In addition, the Ministry of Health reported that “As part of the investigation, relevant information was collected at Sunarp offices.”.
As you remember, Deza Sandoval hired his partner to the position of General Coordinator of Sunarp Legal Advisory since March 1, 2023.
According to a report published by Sunday’s Panorama newspaper, Uribe asked Deza what position he had for her as boss, to which he responded by sending him a list of allegations and saying, “Find what you do”.
Initially, Deza suggested that she submit her biographical information in order to take the position of head of Sunarp’s procurement department. However, she herself admitted that she was not suitable for this position. Uribe later mentioned that he would like to join the OGA (General Administration).

Even Deza himself mentioned that “if not everyone comes out, I will call on some of them as advisors.” Among them is the resume of Hurley Coronado Cairo, who on March 1 was appointed head of the supply and heritage department of the said institution..
Faced with such accusations, Tommy Deza resigned and claimed that his departure was due to professional activities in the private sphere. During the consultation, the former Sunarp manager indicated that his partner “went through a rigorous process” to be accepted for the position.
