He Congress of the Republic approved the final report this Thursday Andean People’s Commission who recommends prosecution to investigate those responsible for the Repsol oil spill on part of the Peruvian coast in January 2022.
This final report was approved by 90 votes in favor and, as indicated by Congress, it will now be processed by the appropriate authorities.

Final report
The document recommends parliament transfer to the specialized environmental prosecutor’s office the launch of an investigation to identify public and private officials responsible for the spill.
Likewise, the report urges Ministry of Justice undertake legal assistance to the population affected in litigation against Repsol on issues of compensation for material damage and harm to health.
