Head of the Ministry of Health (Mr.Minsa), Rosa Gutierrez Palomino, reported that 343 first-line health facilities were affected by heavy rains in various regions.

In this scenario, he assured that Minsa’s technical teams would help make a quick diagnosis of the damage and provide support in restoring care.

He remembered that Ministry of Health maintains a red health alert level, allowing all hospitals and medical facilities to provide immediate assistance to those affected by heavy rains, as well as continue to treat patients for other reasons.

In addition, he indicated that the shipment of medicines and supplies to the affected regions, which do not have the necessary supplies and support of the Mobile Emergency Service (AMU) to refer and transfer patients to medical facilities, has been organized. complexity. There are 122 SAMU ambulances throughout the country, to which are added those available in hospitals and medical centers.
