Yesterday, leftist parliamentarians submitted a vote of no confidence calling for the removal of President José Williams, First Vice President Marta Moyano and Third Vice President Alejandro Mugnante.

Among the reasons given in the legislative initiative is the “inadequate direction of the debate in flagrant violation of the Standing Orders of the Congress of the Republic”, as well as a call for violence when a statement was issued calling for forces to act against the protests.

The paper also questions administrative and financial mismanagement due to journalistic revelations about renting buffets and buying carpets. Parliamentarians who are promoting the proposal point out that the Board of Directors, through its actions, has created members of the Legislative Assembly as an object of ridicule through memes and cartoons.
