Ombudsman On Monday, he called on Education Minister Oscar Becerra to correct his descriptions of Aymara women, which the institution deemed “offensive”.

“We strongly reject the discrediting statements of the head of the Ministry of Education, Manuel Becerraagainst the dignity of women, especially indigenous Aymara women,” the organization said on Twitter.

Oscar Becerra was in activity for piura and criticized Aymara women protesting in Lima. In this sense, he put it that “even animals do not expose their children.”

“Even animals don’t expose their children. We see it every day in these channels of nature where a mother dies protecting her children from being attacked. And we see, is it right to call mothers those who take their children and subject them to the violence that we are witnessing? Can we go to that extreme of manipulation?” – Becerra said on the air of channel N.

The Ombudsman indicated that both the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and the Ministry of Culture should promote gender and ethnic equality.

“We remember that every government is obliged to act in accordance with human rights, the principles of equality and non-discrimination and the cultural diversity of our country in order to build a state free from racism,” the institution said.

Classes in Puno will begin on March 20.

Education Minister Oscar Becerra said this Sunday that school classes in Puno will start on March 20one week after the rest of the regions, because the same regional government believes that this is the ideal date for observing the 39 corresponding weeks.

“Today I read with great satisfaction, even though the intent seemed to be to deny me, the Puno Regional Government’s statement that they want to start the school year and that they are going to guarantee 39 weeks even when they plan to start March 20, I must say that this is within his authority, ”he explained in an interview with the Punto Final program.

Oscar Becerra lamented the bad conditions in infrastructure of several schoolsbut pointed out that this is a problem that did not start with this government.
