The Supervisory Committee of the Congress of the Republic awaits the participation of former President Pedro Castillo in order to bear witness as part of the Angia Case investigation. The session will take place in the Raul Porras Barrenchea Hall and on the Microsoft Teams virtual platform.
Recall that the investigation responded to the alleged corruption crimes committed in the implementation of investment projects that were financed by municipalities of Angii, Chachapoyas and Chadin. Likewise, projects funded by the Housing Ministry are being investigated as part of an alleged criminal organization directed from the Government Palace and led by former President Pedro Castillo Terrones.
Among those called as witnesses is the former mayor of the Chadin district. Cesar Castilloformer Mayor of Chachapoyas Province Victor Kalki and former Mayor of Angii County Jose Nenil Medina.
The judiciary will consider this Friday a request for a 36-month pre-trial detention for Pedro Castillo, Juan Silva and Geiner Alvarado.

The public ministry’s request could be processed after National Attorney Patricia Benavidez formalizes an investigation into the former officials.
