National Election Jury (JNE) reminded political organizations that they until January 31 submit their candidatures for the internal elections that will determine their contenders for the 2023 municipal by-elections to be held on July 2 this year.
The specified period is set in Resolution 0003-2023-JNE, published in Peruvian manJanuary 13, through which the Plenum of the institution approved the schedule of internal elections for the additional process.
In addition, the electoral body emphasized that the process of nomination and registration of preliminary candidates is carried out only through JNE internal declaration system, which is already available to political organizations on the main page of the institutional portal.
