Secretary General of the CGTP, Gustavo Minayasaid that President Dina Boluarte must resign tomorrow because she has lost her legitimacy in the country. He argued that the incumbent president brought misfortune only after the death of several people.

“The CGTU is joining this national protest to ask Ms. Dina Boluart to submit her resignation. It has already lost all legitimacy to continue the transition process. The death of fifty citizens, and today they were joined by two more who were killed by the police. bullets, you can’t miss it,” he said on the “Todo Se Sabe” program in RPP.

Minaya claimed that leaving Dina Boluarte and what is new Congressional Board of Directors before giving names about a possible replacement for her.

“The suggestion is that Ms Boluarte should leave in order to achieve the first social and political stability in the country. When we receive her resignation, only then will we be able to at least follow who can make this short list to make this transition. At this point, we must go step by step … Why not choose from among the congressmen that we have? At least one that has the characteristics to be accepted by the majority of the population to lead a transitional government,” he said.

The leader of the CGTP stressed the importance of the people’s vote on the holding of the Constituent Assembly. In this sense, he considered it important to conduct a nationwide survey.

“If there is political will tomorrow, we will get Ms. Boluarte’s resignation. A new board of directors of the Congress is being elected, a new transitional government is proposed, which requires a general election with a complete renewal of the Congress, including consultations with the population, if we want to go or not to go to the Constitutional Assembly,” he said.

Marches in Lima

This Wednesday, a new demonstration took place in the center of Lima ahead of what will be called “The Taking of Lima.” In this case, the police prevented the mobilization from reaching Miraflores, as happened last weekend.

There are people who come from Puno, Huancavelica and Cuzco to participate in the mobilization in Lima. In other regions, marches against the government Dina Boluarte.

The National Police have already announced that the number of troops will be increased this weekend to protect state institutions and that there are no excesses in the city.
