On April 1, Solo was arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem and charged with drunk driving, child abuse and resistance after arguing with North Carolina police. Police said her 2-year-old twin was in the car when the accident happened.
Solo’s lawyer at the time, Ron Nichols, told TMZ that “the story is more comprehensive than the allegations originally suggest and that he looks forward to his chance to defend those allegations.”
Solo announced his decision to go into rehab through social media. He said he is requesting a Hall of Fame deferment because “right now, my energy and focus is entirely on my health, healing and caring for my family.”
He added: “I want to thank the Hall of Fame for their support and understanding of my decision.”
