On the night of July 23, Volodymyr Zelenskyy President commented on the events in Verkhovna Rada, which within one day managed to consider and approve a law that reduces the powers of NABU and SAP.
The President said that Nabu and SAP will work, but without Russian influences. According to the president, it is impossible normal that officials who escaped from Ukraine live abroad and do not have legal consequences for this.
The Prosecutor General is not going to eliminate the Chernishov case from NABU, which is suspected of corruption. Instead, he is interested in the case of Kolomoska, who is suspected of stealing money from Privatbank.
People’s deputies are preparing an idea to the Constitutional Court to cancel the scandalous law, which deprives NABU and SAP independence. It is necessary to assume that 45 signatures must be collected.
We recall that on July 22, Verkhovna Rada supported the bill No. 12414, which actually eliminates the independence of these bodies. Subsequently, the law was signed by Zelensky.
Against this background, in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odessa and other cities, thousands of people protest, repeating the “Veto to the Law”, “Return of Europe”, “Shame”, as well as “Ermak out the door”.
The history of the issue
On the eve of voting in the SBU parliament and the office of the Prosecutor General conducted approximately 80 searches in 19 Nabu staff in different regions of Ukraine. Detectives are accused of the State Council, illegal trade with Russia, corruption in the interests of the oligarchs.
On July 21, SBU and OGP employees warmed up to the head of NABU detectives in the regions of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporichi Ruslan Magamedrasulov. The purpose of the visit is to detain the official for “intermediation on the sale of a technical hemp to Dagestan”, which, stated, was illegally grown by his father. Investigators discovered that Magamamrazolov, the Sr., has Russian citizenship. However, this should be known after security verification. The mother of the detective lives in Kyiv, but receives a pension in the DPR, which discovered an investigation.
After the search, law enforcement officers informed Ruslan Magamedrasulov about suspicion of assistance and abandoning the state of the aggressor. According to the investigation, the official had contacts with the current deputy people from PPZF Fyodor Khristenko. On the eve of the Great War, Khristenko fled abroad, now he lives in the UAE. The deputy ND never hid ties with Russia.
On July 21, Khristenko was informed that in absentia suspiciously in the state community and abuse of influence. Earlier, law enforcement officers did not notice his connection with Russia. Security Service claims that the parliamentarian was the “chief agent of the FSB of the Russian Federation” and “responsible for strengthening Russian influence on NABU.” In interception, Khristenko talks about successful cases of solving problems with the help of Nabu employees. One of them is the departure of Gennad Bogolubov abroad. NABU detectives really went on the same train from Bogoliubov, but the bureau denies their participation in the escape of the oligarch.

In particular, in 2022, the wife of Skomarov left Ukraine by car of his wife Khrizenko. Skomarov was busy in the case of Alexei Chernishov. On July 21, SBU and OGP reported that the next “mole” of Russian special services were detained in Kyiv. He was an employee of the closed unit of the Central Office of NABU “D-2” Viktor Gusarov. SBU documented at least 60 cases when Gusarov transmitted information with limited access to the former deputy head of the security of Yanukovych. NABU insisted: in August 2023, they began to deal with this information, conducted a joint check in SBU. SBU did not receive official SBU results.
Suspicions were also reported to three bureau officers who committed an accident, where they received serious and serious injuries to the victims. At first glance, nothing unusual. But there are nuances: all road accidents occurred in 2021 and 2023. Obviously, the security forces are trying to present anti -corruption organs in the cleaning of Nabu employees.
